Customer Experience Events Co-ordinator

Want2race are a leading on track experience company offering a range of services for drivers and racers including track days, rookie race series, driver training, corporate events and experience days. Part of the LNT Group of companies, W2R are the front-end arm of Ginetta – responsible for operating all Ginetta track days, test days and both customer and internal service work.

We are looking for a Customer Experience Events Co-ordinator.

Full time – Monday to Friday (weekends & evenings when required)

The Role

The ideal candidate will be thorough, well organised and take pride in their work and appearance. Demonstrating exceptional customer service skills and a passion for events, the new addition to the team would be required to travel across Europe and work weekends/evenings. Whilst it is not imperative, a knowledge and interest in motorsport would be beneficial. Exciting opportunity to join a growing team in a fun and exciting business!

Key responsibilities will include:

  • First point of contact for all customer enquiries
  • Support the Head of Business & Events with the planning and implementing of all aspects of event co-ordination such as staffing, venues, hospitality, accommodation, travel
  • Work with the transport manager to arrange logistics for each event
  • Planning event run sheets for instructors and crew
  • Manage and oversee all events and bookings
  • Oversee all admin elements of the office, events and the hub (workshop and storage facility)
  • Maintaining a working relationship with vendors and venues
  • Planning multiple events at once
  • Creating event proposals as per a client’s requirements
  • Working to a budget while planning event specifics
  • Processing orders, bookings and payments
  • Executing events on the day, including customer experience, administration, sign on, problem solving, welcoming guests, communicating with staff and venues
  • Demonstrating good knowledge of circuits and product offering to customers
  • Anticipating and planning for different scenarios
  • Upselling products on events and creating sales opportunities during events
  • Customer service follow up calls

Key Skills:

  • You should be organised, self-motivated with a strong eye for detail
  • Excellent customer service and telephone skills
  • Strong planning and organisation skills
  • Previous work experience in a similar role
  • Ability to use spreadsheets to analyse data
  • Ability to work to budgets and carry out tasks
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work

Additional Info:

  • Based predominantly from Ginetta HQ in Garforth.
  • Weekend work as required to look after W2R’s rookie race series drivers. Fixed rate overtime paid.
  • Event work and travel essential as part of the role with valid passport required for European events and travel.
  • Knowledge and experience of social media preferred but not essential.

Production Support Engineer

We are looking to recruit a Production Support Engineer to join our growing manufacturing plant.

As a production support engineer, you will be assisting the production management team in the day to day running of the manufacturing facilities. Paying particular focus on efficiency, quality, safety & communication between departments.

A background in engineering or manufacturing is preferred but not essential, and any experience/competencies within the automotive industry would be beneficial. Under the mentorship and experienced guidance of our senior staff, this is the perfect opportunity for a graduate to begin their career in a forward thinking, fast paced, multi-faceted automotive manufacturer.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain build procedures
  • Construction of technical manuals and build procedures
  • Construction of service manuals
  • Carrying out in-build & post build inspections of cars and sub-assemblies
  • Controlled builds and routine BOM cleanses
  • Feedback to the design team over build based Non-conformances
  • Time & motion studies to assist with value engineering practices
  • Working with departmental heads to clarify weekly ordering requirements / relay to Supply Chain
  • Assistance with routine tool maintenance and machinery checks

Desired attributes:

  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to follow & produce work instructions and technical drawings
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to diagnose and problem solve
  • Have good IT skills and be bale to use all standard office software
  • Self-motivated and have the ability to work autonomously under pressure

  • Be approachable & have a willingness to develop and learn
  • Excellent team spirit and work ethic
  • Good Mechanical Engineering understanding and appreciation towards manufacturing practices

  • Have excellent communication skills in both written and spoken formats

Salary will be dependent upon previous experience (if any).

GRP Laminator

We are looking to recruit GRP laminators (experienced & non-experienced) to join our growing composites team. Although predominantly team based, you must also have the ability to work on your own with the flexibility to meet deadlines.

Although a good GRP background is preferred it is not essential, provided candidates have a good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

As a Ginetta GRP laminator, you will be producing the bodywork for a large number of production road and race cars, supporting the manufacturing plant.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning/waxing/prepping moulds for lay-up
  • Application of various release agents/material identification
  • Gel coat application/laminating skills/hand tool dexterity
  • Trimming/sanding & polishing of parts after release
  • General housekeeping duties- changing barrels/filling recycling bins/unpacking goods-in deliveries
  • Wrapping/protecting out bound deliveries
  • Excellent team spirit and work ethic
  • Willingness to develop and learn
  • Engineering understanding

Salary will be dependent upon previous laminating experience, however we are open to Junior position with no experience and we offer career progression opportunities in both GRP and Carbon Fibre.
